My due date is mid november as per the scan but im trying to figure out roughly when i actually conceived. Just curious to count back, anyone knows how to work it out from the due date?
I just used a pregnancy app, you put your due date and it shows estimated conception date automatically. It is approximate but pretty handy. The early ultrasound also confirmed my dates nicely.
I was wondering the same thing recently. So the due date is actually counted from last period and not the actual day? That cleared a big confusion for me, thanks.
My gynac explained that due date is counted from the first day of last period, and conception is usually around 2 weeks after that. So roughly count back about 38 weeks from your due date for the conception time. But the scan dating is the most accurate.
Easiest way, subtract about 266 days from your due date, that is roughly conception. But honestly the dating scan is what doctors trust most. Don't stress on exact day, it is always an estimate.
Just ask at your next checkup, they note conception estimate from your scan in the file. Saves you the math. Honestly the exact day rarely matters once baby is healthy.
