Bit of a basic doubt but my gynac said im 6 weeks when according to me it should be 4. Got confused whether we count from last period or from conception. can someone explain how it works?
My gynac counts from the first day of your last period, not from conception. It sounds odd but thats the standard method, so you are already two weeks along at conception. Thats why your due date is calculated from that date.
I was so puzzled by this in the beginning. So the weeks start from the last period and not the day of conception? Glad I am not the only one who found this confusing.
My app confused me at first too, then I realised it counts from the last period date. So when they say six weeks, you actually conceived around four weeks ago. Just enter your last period date and it does the rest.
