Currently in my second trimester and starting to feel that burning thing after meals. Just wondering when it usually starts and if it gets worse later. Anyone been through this?
Ugh, heartburn usually kicks in during the second and third trimesters, especially after you cheat with some spicy pani puri! Keeping cold milk handy is my ultimate trick now.
It usually hits in the third trimester. Instead of buying expensive antacids, just try simple home fixes like cold milk or chewing fennel seeds, it saves money and works great.
I had terrible heartburn in my last trimester because the baby was pressing right on my stomach. Drinking small sips of cold milk and staying upright for 30 minutes after eating really helped me.
It typically starts around the second trimester because of progesterone relaxing the stomach valve, and peaks in the third trimester. While minor home remedies help, definitely ask your doctor if it becomes too severe to sleep.
It can start as early as the first trimester but gets super intense in the third trimester when baby pushes up! 🍼 Try eating small, frequent meals instead of heavy ones! 🥰
I totally understand how uncomfortable that burning feeling is, it can really ruin your sleep and day. It mostly happens in the later months, please hang in there, sweetie, it'll all disappear once you hold your baby.
