Im 6 weeks and have my first scan coming up next week. So nervous and excited to hear the heartbeat, keep wondering if it'll be there already. When did u all first hear it?
My gynac explained the heart begins beating around 5 to 6 weeks but is usually first seen or heard on scan by 6 to 7 weeks. Sometimes a touch later depending on dating. She said not to panic if it is not seen at the very first early scan.
I heard my baby's heartbeat around the 6 to 7 week scan and I cried, it felt so real then. The doctor said the heart starts forming around then. That little sound is something I will never forget.
