Im barely 5 weeks and already feeling slightly off in mornings. Wanted to know when does the actual nausea usually start for most of you, and how long does it last? mentally trying to prepare myself.
Usually morning sickness starts around the 6th week and lasts till the end of the first trimester. For me, because of my thyroid levels fluctuating, my doctor kept a very close watch on my symptoms. Do check your thyroid levels once if you have extreme nausea and keep your doctor updated.
For most women, nausea kicks in around week 6 or 7, and honestly, it can happen any time of the day, not just morning! I had to carry small ginger candies in my office bag to survive meetings. It usually gets much better by week 12 or 13, so hang in there.
Nausea usually starts around the 6th week of pregnancy. My mother-in-law advised me to drink warm ginger water or take thoda lemon juice, which helped a lot. But always keep your gynac informed if you're not able to keep any food down.
Sweetheart, it generally starts early in the second month and can go on till week 14. In my experience, keeping dry crackers near your bed and eating one before getting up really helps settle the stomach. Be gentle with yourself, this is just a phase.
Oh dear, I totally understand how awful that constant sick feeling can be. For me, it started in the 5th week itself and made me feel so miserable initially. Just remember, your body is doing the beautiful job of growing a tiny life, so keep strong!
