My next scan is coming up and im so eager to hear the heartbeat for the first time. around which week does it actually start showing on the scan? cant wait honestly.
My doctor said the heartbeat usually becomes visible on ultrasound around 6 to 7 weeks. If its a bit early it may not show yet, so they repeat the scan. By 7 weeks most see it clearly.
I'll never forget hearing the heartbeat around 7 weeks on the scan, I felt tears just rolling down. It was the most magical sound. Sometimes it shows a little earlier or later, so dont stress on exact days.
We saw ours at 6 weeks 4 days and I was so nervous before the scan. Did others also not see it at the very first early scan? Mine showed on the repeat one.
