We have a family wedding coming up and its a long train journey. Im 14 weeks now and feeling ok mostly, but not sure if i should travel ya wait till things settle more. Anyone who travelled in early months, kaisa tha experience?
Honestly second trimester is the absolute best time for any work trips or travel. First tri me fatigue and nausea makes it impossible, and third tri is just too heavy. I travelled for a project in my 5th month, just kept the schedule light and carried plenty of snacks.
I literally made a whole list of questions for my gynac before booking my flights. The hospital staff even gave me a proper travel clearance certificate and told me which nearby hospitals to keep in mind just in case. Better to ask your doctor directly and get green light first.
Actually 14 to 28 weeks is generally the safest window because the early risks are behind you and the body is still comfortable. Just make sure to avoid long bumpy car rides and keep moving your legs if you are sitting for too long to avoid swelling. Definitely keep your file handy always.
Yes, second trimester is great but always check with your doc first before planning. I was doing mild yoga and daily walking, but my doc still asked me to avoid long road trips to prevent strain. If you travel, make sure you walk around every hour to stretch your legs.
Ghar pe to mummy and saas did not want me to step out at all in the beginning, pure time rest. But eventually around 5th month we had to go for a family function. We took a train because they felt road travel was too bumpy, so we did what made everyone comfortable.
