I am trying to understand safe days because we are not planning right now. My periods are regular some months and late other months, so calendar method confuses me. How do people calculate safe period properly?
If you mean safe to avoid pregnancy, its roughly the days far from ovulation, like just before and during period. But honestly its not reliable, cycles shift. Dont depend only on this.
Safe days are usually away from mid cycle when you ovulate. But arre it fails for so many people, including a friend of mine. So dont rely fully on it na.
The safe period idea is around your menstrual days and a few before, ovulation being the risky window. But it works only if your cycle is super regular. Better to talk to your gynac about proper options.
Funny, I want the opposite, the fertile days to conceive! From what I read its around ovulation, mid cycle. So safe days would be the ends. Tracking apps helped me understand my pattern.
With PCOS my cycles were all over the place so safe period method never made sense for me. If your periods arent regular, dont trust the calendar, please discuss with a doctor.
