When should i take a pregnancy test for accurate results?
We are trying since last 2 months and im so impatient this time, want to test asap. But last time i tested too early and it was negative and i cried for nothing. How many days should i actually wait to get a proper result?
Doc told me home kits detect hCG which rises after implantation, so testing before your missed date often misses it. Best time is first morning urine on the day period is due or a few days late. For confirmation a blood test (beta hCG) is even more accurate.
My tracker app told me first morning urine gives the most accurate result coz the hormone is most concentrated then. So take it in the morning, on or after your missed period day. That worked for me.
Honestly just wait for the missed period, saves u the stress of faint lines and retesting. If u really cant wait, some kits say they detect early but accuracy is lower. Morning sample is best.
Wait till at least the day your period is due, or a day or two after for best accuracy. Testing too early gives false negatives. I tested 3 days before and got a faint line, retested after missed period and it was clear.
I was so impatient and tested 4 days early, got negative and cried, then it was positive 3 days later lol. So pls wait till your period is actually missed, it saves the heartbreak. Did anyone else test too early?
