After my IUI the clinic told me to wait about two weeks before testing, that dreaded two week wait. Testing earlier just gives confusing results because of the trigger shot. Be gentle with yourself in that wait, it is so hard, I know.
My doctor scheduled a blood beta hcg test about 14 days after the IUI rather than relying on home kits. She explained the trigger injection can cause a false positive if you test too soon. Best to follow the date your clinic gives you exactly.
