my MIL keeps telling me to start taking shatavari and im not sure about the right time for it. Should it be from early on or later? haven't asked my doc yet, anyone who used it pls share.
I am currently in my 20th week and my grandmother suggested I start Shatavari Kalpa with milk. I am a bit anxious about whether it's totally safe to start now—did any of you take it in your second trimester?
Actually, my MIL told me to start it, but my gynac said it's better to wait until the third trimester or post-delivery, yaar. Don't start any herbal stuff in the first trimester without asking your doctor first.
Hey, Shatavari is usually started in the third trimester or after delivery to help with lactation, so don't stress too much about starting it early. Just ask your gynac during your next visit if you actually need it right now.
Shatavari is great, but because of my thyroid, my doctor advised me to avoid any ayurvedic supplements without a direct prescription. Please consult your gynecologist before starting it to ensure it won't interfere with your hormone levels.
I started taking Shatavari with warm milk after my C-section to help with my breast milk supply, and it was wonderful. During pregnancy, it's best to check with your doctor first, but it is definitely amazing for postpartum recovery.
