When trying to conceive what is the best position?
My husband and I are actively trying to conceive and exploring all options. I've heard some people say certain positions are better for conception. What do you all think is the best position when trying to conceive?
I don't think there is any single magic position to conceive, though many say lying flat for 15 minutes after helps. Just like I learned to focus on nutrition rather than quick-fix diet myths during gestational diabetes, focus on your overall health. Tracking ovulation is much more important than positions.
Haha, gravity is your friend, so the classic missionary position with a pillow under your hips is what everyone swears by! But don't do acrobatics or stand on your head, that's just a myth. Just lie down for 10 minutes after and let the swimmers do their job!
I remember researching all sorts of crazy positions on Google and worrying so much. Now that my baby is a toddler, I realize we were stressing over nothing! Normal missionary is perfectly fine, just keep it stress-free and fun.
Honestly, in this third trimester, the only position I care about is sleeping on my left side with five pillows! But back when we were trying, the classic missionary position worked fine. Just make sure you actually enjoy the process instead of making it a chore.
In joint families, we can't talk about these things openly, but my mom once subtly hinted to just lie down flat on your back for some time after. No need to overcomplicate things with fancy positions. Just relax and give it time.
