Just got my positive, must be around 4-5 weeks. Everyone keeps warning me about morning sickness but im feeling totally normal right now. When does the vomiting usually kick in?
For me, the nausea kicked in around week 6, and I thought that was hard. Now I'm sleep-deprived with a newborn and realizing that was actually the easy part! Hang in there, it usually starts in the second month.
My gynac explained that as HCG hormones peak around week 6 to week 8, nausea and vomiting typically begin. It usually peaks around week 9 and starts getting better by week 12 or 14.
I panicked so much when I didn't have any vomiting in my first month, thinking something was wrong! But my doctor told me it starts around week 6 or 7, and some moms never even get it, which is totally normal.
Most women start feeling it around the 6th or 7th week, but some lucky ones don't vomit at all! Stay positive, keep some dry snacks nearby, and you will get through this beautiful phase.
It usually starts around the 6th week of pregnancy. Sipping ginger tea can help with early nausea, but if you start vomiting excessively and can't keep water down, contact your doctor immediately.
