Im 34 weeks now and getting a bit anxious about how labour starts. I keep wondering if water breaking is always the first sign or it can come later. Pls share how it happened for you all.
For me it broke at 39 weeks just before contractions got strong. But honestly for many women it breaks during labour, not before. Mine was a slow trickle not a big gush like in movies, so dont expect drama.
It usually happens close to your due date, often during labour itself. With my first it broke at home, second one the doctor broke it at hospital. If u feel fluid leaking before contractions, call your gynac right away.
I keep paranoidly checking if every little wetness is my water breaking, lol, 36 weeks and exhausted. Good to know its often just a trickle. My biggest fear is it happening in the middle of a metro ride, haha.
