Wait till your period is at least a day or two late, then test with the first morning urine. Testing too early just gives false negatives and stresses you out for nothing.
Best is the day after your missed period, morning sample. Some kits claim early detection but my app reminded me to wait for the missed period for accuracy, and that worked perfectly for me.
