I cant decide between cow milk, buffalo milk or those packet ones. MIL insists buffalo milk is heavier and better but it feels too thick for me honestly. Which one did u all prefer during pregnancy? im 20 weeks.
Honestly in early months milk made me nauseous, so dont force it if it doesnt sit well. I switched to curd and paneer for calcium then. Later milk was fine. Do what ur tummy allows na.
At home we always had cow milk with a pinch of turmeric at night, my amma insisted. It helped me sleep. Main thing is it should be pasteurised or boiled well. Any plain milk u digest easily is good.
Cow or buffalo both are fine, just make sure its properly boiled, no raw milk. I personally found buffalo milk too heavy so I stuck to toned cow milk. Pick what suits ur stomach.
Dont feel pressured to buy expensive special pregnancy milk powders. Normal good quality milk does the job for calcium and protein. If u are lactose intolerant then ask doc about alternatives like soy etc.
I just drank regular cow milk, boiled well, twice a day. Nothing fancy needed. If u dont like plain milk add a little haldi or have it as kheer sometimes. Whatever ur body takes comfortably.
