Which part of the stomach grows first in pregnancy?
Im in first trimester and my lower pet feels a little tight already but upper part is same. Just curious which side starts showing first, anyone noticed?
Generally, the uterus is in the lower belly, so that's where the growth starts. You don't need any special tests for this, it's a natural process. Just focus on a healthy diet and taking your prenatal vitamins to support the baby's growth. No need to worry about which part grows first, it all grows eventually! Just save money for hospital bills!
So, initially, you won't see much growth externally, but internally, your uterus is already starting to expand to accommodate the tiny embryo. Around the second trimester, usually the lower abdomen starts to show first, just above your pubic bone. It's where your uterus is located, so it naturally gets bigger there first. Then it gradually moves up.
This is such an interesting question! I'm planning my pregnancy now, and I always wonder what it actually feels like and where the changes start. I keep looking at other pregnant women to see their bumps! It's good to know it's not just me thinking about these little details. Thanks for asking, I learnt something new!
Oh, I just delivered, and trust me, it's not like you instantly get a huge belly! For me, in the first few months, it was more like bloating, especially after meals. Then slowly, from around 4-5 months, the lower part of my stomach, below the navel, started to become noticeably rounder. It was exciting to see it finally become a proper baby bump!
Actually, for me, it was mostly my lower belly that started to feel firmer and then slowly grow. It's a very subtle change initially, not like a sudden big bump. Post C-section, that area still feels a bit different now, but during pregnancy, it was definitely the first part to expand. It's amazing how much your body changes.
