I've been getting frequent headaches ever since I got pregnant. Sometimes they are quite severe. Is it common to get headaches during pregnancy, and what could be the reason behind them?
Headaches are mostly due to lack of sleep, dehydration, or skipping meals. Instead of buying expensive balms, just drink plenty of water, have a warm cup of milk, and rest in a dark room. Try keeping your screen time low, it costs nothing and works great.
I can only share what happened with me. I used to get terrible headaches in my second trimester, and my doctor told me it was because I was drinking less water. Once I increased my daily water intake and slept on time, they disappeared.
With twins, my hormones were double, and so were my headaches! It's usually just hormonal changes or dehydration, so try to drink more water. But if it's a severe, splitting headache, do tell your gynac because pregnancy high BP can also cause it.
Oh sweetie, headaches are so annoying but totally normal due to all these crazy hormones! Just don't stress too much, make sure you are sleeping well and staying hydrated. Try a gentle head massage with warm coconut oil, it will make u feel so relaxed.
Your body is busy building a whole human, so your brain is bound to protest with a headache sometimes! Jokes aside, it's usually just hormones or dehydration. Drink water like it's your full-time job and take a nice, long nap!
In my experience, headaches during pregnancy are often a sign of exhaustion or low blood sugar. I started having small frequent meals and a handful of soaked almonds in the morning, which helped a lot. Do check with your gynac if they are very severe.
