Why is my stomach hard at the top early pregnancy?
Im around 9 weeks and lately my upper pet feels kind of hard when I touch it. Is this normal yaar at such early stage? Slightly curious because I thought belly gets hard much later na.
When I had this hardness in my upper stomach at 10 weeks, I immediately called my hospital's care team. The nurse explained that early on, it's mostly due to intense bloating and slow digestion caused by progesterone, not the actual baby yet. If you are worried, just give your doctor's clinic a quick call to be absolutely sure.
Don't worry too much, dear, this is quite common in the early months. It is usually just gas, bloating or your body adjusting to all the hormonal changes. Just try to eat light, walk a bit, and see if it feels better.
I remember feeling that exact tightness at the top of my tummy early on! Honestly, our digestive system slows down so much during early pregnancy, which makes gas build up and feel very hard. Drink lots of warm water and try to eat small meals throughout the day.
This is a very common query here! In early pregnancy, your uterus is still quite low, so hardness at the top is almost always due to gas, acidity, or slowed down bowel movements. Try cutting down on heavy or spicy foods for a few days and see if the hardness goes down.
This is so interesting to read because I'm planning to conceive and trying to learn about all these early symptoms. I always thought the stomach only got hard in the later months! Hope you are feeling better now, did you check with your gynac yet?
Because of my PCOS, I was always extra careful and worried about every tiny symptom like this hardness. For me, it turned out to be severe constipation and bloating which is very common in the first trimester. It's always safer to just mention it to your doctor during your next scan to stay relaxed.
Having gone through a loss before, I know how terrifying any unusual feeling in your stomach can be. Early on, hardness at the top is usually just bloating or gas stretching your muscles, which is harmless. But please, if you feel any sharp pain or cramping alongside it, contact your doctor immediately.
