Im around 28 weeks and getting this dull pain near the pubic bone, specially when i turn in bed or get up. It comes and goes. Is this normal at this stage? Planning to ask my gynac at next visit but wanted to hear from others too.
Mostly its the ligaments stretching and harmless, but if the pain is sharp, sudden, or with any cramping or tightening, please dont ignore it, call your gynac. I always say better to ask than to sit worrying at home.
Haan ye hota hai na, pelvic bones loosen ho jate hai for delivery. Mujhe bhi hua tha, karwat lene mein dard hota tha. Pillow legs ke beech rakho, thoda aaram milta hai. Par gynac ko bata dena once.
Oh I have started feeling this too and got scared. Is it really just the bones making space? It pinches when I get up from sitting. Glad to know others felt it, kind of relieved reading this.
Thats usually the pelvic ligaments loosening up to make room for baby, very common in later months. The joint at the front (pubic bone) gets soft and it can ache when you walk or turn in bed. A pregnancy pillow and not standing too long helps. Mention it to your gynac so they can guide you.
I had this pubic area pain in my last trimester and it would hurt turning over in bed. My doctor said its the pelvis preparing for delivery. Moving slowly, putting a pillow between knees, and not crossing legs helped me a little. Do tell your doc how bad it is.
