Why people with pcos find it difficult to.conceive?
I got diagnosed with pcos last year and we are trying since few months now, nothing happening yet. Honestly thoda demotivated feel ho raha hai. Just want to understand why pcos makes it so hard, anyone here conceived with it?
Haan na, PCOS is so annoying because periods get so irregular. When egg release timing is not fixed, conceiving becomes a guessing game. But don't lose hope, doctor can easily help to regulate it.
It's mainly because egg release is not regular, so you have to track ovulation. Do not waste money on expensive clinics right away. First get basic blood tests and ultrasound done at a local government lab, it's much cheaper.
Actually, my doctor explained that PCOS causes an imbalance of insulin and male hormones, which stops the eggs from maturing properly. This means ovulation doesn't happen every month. She suggested focusing on low-GI diet and light exercise to improve egg quality.
Arey, our ovaries just decide to go on a random holiday instead of releasing eggs on time! Don't worry, it's just a stubborn hormonal phase, not a lifetime sentence. With a little lifestyle tuning, they will get back to work!
I also had severe PCOS and thought I'll never conceive, but now my little boy is 2 years old! It just takes a bit more time because ovulation dates are hard to track. Keep trying and trust the process, it will happen for u too.
Instead of stressing, start with basic changes like cutting sugar and doing 30 mins ghar pe yoga. Keeping a track of your cycle using simple strip tests also helps a lot without spending too much. It's totally manageable.
In PCOS, the hormones are just a bit confused, making it hard for a good egg to release. I had to manage my weight and diet a lot before I got pregnant. Now I am happily breastfeeding my baby, so please don't lose heart.
