My gynac has put me on susten injections and i didnt really get a clear reason in the rush of the appointment. Im in my early weeks. Just trying to understand why these are given, anyone here was prescribed the same?
With my PCOS background my doctor put me on progesterone support early too, since my levels needed help. It felt scary at first but it was routine for cases like mine. Trust your gynac and ask them to explain your reason, every body is different.
My gynac said its given when the body may need extra progesterone, like in some early pregnancies or after fertility treatment, to support the lining. She told me it doesnt mean something is wrong, its precaution. Always take it exactly as she schedules.
Mine prescribed progesterone support when I had some early spotting. It helped settle things along with rest. But the reason can differ for each person, so please ask ur own doctor why exactly its given to you, dont go by my case.
I had these during my IVF pregnancy, its progesterone support to help hold the pregnancy in early weeks. They are very commonly given, so please dont panic seeing it prescribed. My doctor explained it was just extra support, and my baby is fine and well now.
