I literally lie awake till 2-3am these days, mind is fully active aur neend hi nahi aati. Im in my second trimester and not even that uncomfortable yet, still sleep just wont come. Is this normal yaar, how do you all manage?
I had terrible sleepless nights too, so my mom used to give me a warm cup of milk and gently massage my head before sleeping. Sitting with family and talking casually in the evening really helped distract my mind from the discomfort.
I couldn't sleep because of stress about all the upcoming expenses and delivery packages. What helped me was making an excel sheet of hospital costs and test budgets during those awake hours. Getting those financial plans in place actually helped calm my mind for sleep.
High-end pregnancy pillows are so expensive, so I just used our regular extra pillows under my tummy and back. Also, avoiding heavy dinner and drinking less water right before bed helped reduce my midnight loo trips. Simple ghar ke tareeqe are the best!
Sleep becomes so difficult with the growing belly and constant bathroom trips. I used to keep a feeding pillow between my knees which gave some relief. Try to rest as much as u can during the day too, because post-delivery sleep is even scarcer!
It's really tough when you can't sleep despite being so exhausted. Please don't force yourself, just lie down and listen to some soft music. Sending you lots of strength, this phase will also pass.
I'm in my 7th month and honestly, I am writing this at 3 AM right now! Does it get any better in the 9th month or does the pressure increase? I'm literally struggling to find any side sleeping position that doesn't hurt my hips.
My sleep was totally ruined because of hormonal imbalances, which I already had due to PCOS. I used to get so worried if this lack of sleep would affect my baby. Just try to keep a calm routine and always mention it to your doctor if you feel too exhausted.
