I was diagnosed with pcos like 3 yrs back and now finally I got my positive. Honestly im a bit scared if it will cause issues in carrying the baby or anything. Anyone here with pcos who had a smooth pregnancy? pls share.
PCOS made conceiving take longer for me and we eventually did IVF, but I want you to know it worked. Please dont feel discouraged by the label. With the right doctor guiding you, there's so much hope.
I have PCOS and conceived after some help, so it's definitely possible. It can mean a bit higher chance of things like gestational diabetes so my gynac monitored me closely. With good care most of us have healthy pregnancies, just stay regular with check ups.
Adding to this, PCOS does raise the risk of GD a little, which I got. So watch your diet and do your sugar tests on time. It's manageable, I just had to be careful with food and my baby was fine.
It can affect ovulation and slightly raise some risks, but it doesnt mean you cant have a smooth pregnancy. A good gynac will monitor sugar and BP more closely. Just keep your appointments and follow their plan.
