I am so worried about my glucose test next week because diabetes runs in my family. How do they treat high sugar during pregnancy, does it affect the baby? Please share your experiences.
It's safe as long as your pregnancy is uncomplicated. Just make sure to ask your doctor during your regular scan or checkup so you don't end up needing extra emergency clinic visits which can be expensive. Simple, practical precaution saves money and stress!
Honestly, wait until your period is actually late. If you test too early and get a faint line, you'll stay up all night googling instead of sleeping, and trust me, you need that sleep now!
Just use the first morning urine, or hold for 4 hours if doing it later. Keep a calm mind and leave the rest to God. Praying for your good news!
Personally, I just stopped eating sweets and switched to whole wheat rotis and lots of green veggies. It worked well for my levels, but I didn't take any risks and always kept my doctor in the loop.
