My doctor has prescribed ampicillin, and I'm pregnant. I'm a bit worried about taking medicines during this time. Can anyone tell me why ampicillin might be used during pregnancy?

Doc gave me this for a throat infection and i took one before realising im pregnant (just 6 weeks). Now thoda panic ho raha hai. Will confirm with my gynac tomorrow but wanted to know if anyone was prescribed this during pregnancy?
