First time pregnant and im just trying to understand the basics. My period is obviously late which is how i found out, but do they fully stop now for all 9 months? Sorry if its a silly question.

I keep getting confused with this. The doctor told me one number but the app shows different, and i dont even remember exact dates of my last period. Can someone explain how the weeks are actually counted?
Im 16 weeks now and my doctor mentioned the anomaly scan is coming up but didn't give exact date. I dont want to miss the right window for it. Around which week did you all get this scan done?
