I tested 2 days before my period was due and it showed faint positive. but a part of me doesnt fully believe it yet, the line was really light. can these early ones give wrong result? thoda nervous.
Yes, testing too early often gives a false negative because the hormone is still low. A false positive is rarer but can happen. Best is to retest after the missed period or do a lab test to be sure.
I got a negative early and was so upset, then it turned positive a few days later. The early one was just too soon. So dont fully trust an early result, it really can be misleading, I learnt that the hard way.
My gynac said early tests can definitely be wrong, mostly false negatives when hCG hasnt risen enough yet. She recommended retesting in 2-3 days or doing a blood test for certainty. So one early result isnt the final word.
