Can coughing cause brown discharge during pregnancy?

I had bad cold and was coughing a lot last two days, then today i noticed little brown discharge. Got a bit scared honestly. Planning to call my doctor but wanted to know if these two are even connected.

Any brown discharge, with cough or not, I would get checked by the gynac to be safe. I had some spotting once and was glad I called instead of waiting. Brown often means old blood, but the doctor should confirm whats going on.
