There was a CCTV during my delivery at the hospital and I really want that footage for personal reasons. Someone said file an RTI but I have no idea if that even works for this. Has anyone actually tried getting it this way?
In my case, the government hospital clearly told us that photography or filming inside the labor room is strictly banned for privacy reasons. So they definitely don't have any video to share, whether you file an RTI or not.
Our delivery moments are so private and emotional, but hospitals strictly protect patient privacy and do not record videos. I know we want to cherish every memory of our baby coming into the world, but you can only get your physical discharge files from them.
When my baby was born, I also wanted to keep every little memory, but hospitals never record videos of the actual delivery. RTI is only for official government data, so you won't get any video. Just hold on to the beautiful photos you take after the baby is born.
Under RTI, you can only request official records or documents, and hospitals definitely don't film deliveries due to privacy rules. It's better to just focus on collecting your complete medical files and glucose reports for your future reference.
Actually yaar, hospitals video record nahi karte delivery ka, so RTI se kuch nahi milega. Medical files or reports chaiye toh directly hospital administration ko request karo, easily mil jaata hai.
I don't think hospitals record any such video of the delivery, so there is nothing they can share under RTI. You can easily ask the hospital for your official medical files or discharge papers directly.
RTI can only help you get written medical records, files, or billing details from government hospitals if there's an issue. They do not record delivery videos at all, so please don't worry about trying RTI for this. Just request your official medical files directly from the medical superintendent.
