Can patient given methotrexate conceive normally in future?
My sister was given methotrexate last year for a health issue and now she is worried about planning a baby later. We are confused how long one should wait after and whether things go back to normal. If anyone has gone through this pls share your experience.
From what I understand it can affect things temporarily and doctors usually ask to wait before conceiving, but its individual. Best to get a clear answer from the gynac or the doctor who prescribed it rather than us.
This is really something only your doctor can answer properly based on why it was given and your reports. Usually they advise waiting a certain time after methotrexate before trying. Please dont go by random advice on this one, sit with your gynac.
