Can we travel in flight during 8th month of pregnancy?
have to fly to my parents place for delivery and i will be around 8 months by then. thoda tension ho rahi hai about flying so late. did anyone travel at this stage? was it okay?
My mother was completely against me flying late in pregnancy, she said it is not safe. But when we asked my doctor, they checked my cervix length and said it's okay for short flights. Strictly follow whatever your gynac advises.
I had to travel in my 8th month for an emergency and panicked so much! But my gynac did some scans, gave me a fitness certificate, and told me it is normal if there are no complications. Just make sure to walk every hour during the flight.
I am in my 7th month right now and even road trips are making me so tired! Are you having any complications or is it a normal pregnancy? Definitely ask your doctor for a certificate bcoz airlines won't let u board without it.
I am planning to conceive soon and currently researching these things bcoz of some family events later. Doesn't the cabin pressure change affect the baby so late in pregnancy? I hope your doctor gives you the best advice.
Beta, 8th month is the time to stay close to home and rest, not travel. If it is absolutely urgent, first ask your doctor and take a fit-to-fly letter. Keep warm water and light snacks with you, and don't strain yourself.
I wouldn't recommend flying so late in pregnancy unless it's an extreme emergency, dear. Your body can go into labor anytime, and airlines also have strict cut-offs. Please talk to your gynac and see what they suggest for your safety.
