My husband and I are trying to conceive, and I'm feeling very anxious. For those who have conceived, how did you feel physically or emotionally in the days or weeks following conception? I'm trying to notice any early signs.
According to my cycle tracker, the earliest symptoms after conception are usually light implantation bleeding or mild cramping around week 4. I personally felt a slight pulling sensation in my lower abdomen and unusual fatigue before my missed period.
I felt this sudden, unexplainable warmth and emotional sensitivity even before taking the test, as if my body was telling me my little baby was there. I also had very mild cramping which I now know was implantation. It was such a beautiful, quiet feeling.
I just felt extremely tired and had mild breast tenderness in the beginning, nothing too dramatic. After my pregnancy and C-section delivery, I realized how beautifully the body prepares itself right from day one. It's a very subtle feeling at start.
With my twins, I felt extremely exhausted very early on, like my battery was drained at 50% capacity by afternoon! I also had a super heightened sense of smell, which made my husband's cologne smell like garbage. It's different for everyone!
We are trying to conceive right now, and I often wonder if I'll feel an immediate change. I've read some women feel a slight pinch or nesting instinct, while others feel nothing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and trying to stay calm.
Honestly, you might not feel anything at all initially, so don't stress too much about looking for signs! Some girls just get mild cramping or sore boobs which feels exactly like periods are coming. Just relax and take a test after a missed period.
For me, it just felt like my period was about to start, with some bloating and mild cramps. I didn't feel 'pregnant' until I missed my period and saw those two lines! Just stay positive and let nature do its work.
