How to increase rbc and hemoglobin during pregnancy?
My recent blood test showed low RBC and hemoglobin levels. How can I increase my RBC and hemoglobin naturally during pregnancy? I want to be healthy for my baby.
Oh god, please take care, low hemoglobin can cause so much weakness and I kept worrying about it during my whole third trimester. Have beetroot juice and palak daily, and make sure u are tracking your blood counts every month. Don't skip your iron pills at any cost, and consult your doctor immediately if you feel dizzy!
Don't stress too much, it's extremely common during pregnancy. Just get your doctor to prescribe a good iron supplement and take it with Vitamin C for better absorption. Don't skip it, keep it simple.
Arre, iron tablets are your new best friends now, handle them with love even if they turn your poop black, haha! Try to eat palak like Popeye to beat that low Hb. Seriously though, joke aside, definitely check with your gynac once if u need a stronger supplement.
Personally, my hb dropped to 9 in my 6th month and my doc put me on twice-a-day iron tablets. I also started eating pomegranate and boiled beetroot every single day. That really worked for me, but definitely ask your gynac before changing anything.
Feeding my little one now, but I remember how hard it was to keep my hemoglobin up. I used to have a glass of pomegranate juice daily and took my prescribed iron tablets post dinner. It takes a little time, so please be patient with your body.
I am also planning a pregnancy soon and actually preparing my body, so I keep reading about this. Is it true that cooking in an iron kadhai really helps in increasing RBC? Let me know what your doctor suggests, I will note it down too.
Actually this is the perfect excuse to eat delicious things like beetroot cutlets and apple milkshakes! I make sure my cravings are healthy by snacking on dry fruits and dates. Gynac gave me iron pills too, but food is way more fun!
