We have decided to start trying and i want to prepare my body properly before. Honestly dont know where to begin, diet, lifestyle, what all to change. Would love to hear how you all got yourself ready for this.
Best to start a preconception visit with a gynac, they check your basics and start you on folic acid. Along with that, good diet, exercise and quitting smoking or alcohol if any. A planned approach makes it smoother.
I am in the same planning phase right now. What's been helping me is tracking my cycle so I know my fertile window, cutting junk food and starting folic acid. Small lifestyle fixes seem to matter a lot.
I had PCOS so for me managing weight and a regular routine made a big difference before conceiving. Everyone's body is different though, so if your cycles are irregular like mine were, a doctor check early really helps. Be kind to yourself.
Don't stress too much about it yaar, that itself is half the battle. Eat well, stay active, take folic acid and enjoy your time. Things fall into place when you are relaxed, I genuinely believe that.
Keep it simple, eat clean, sleep on time, maintain a healthy weight and dont stress about it. Track your ovulation days and time things around that. Both partners should stay healthy, not just you.
