My sister's birthday is coming and everyone is getting black forest, mera bhi mann kar raha hai. But the cherries and that cream part is making me thoda confused, im 22 weeks. Can i have a slice ya should i skip it?
Honestly, bakery cakes can be pricey and home-made is always safer and cheaper. Since we are planning for delivery costs and saving up for those expensive scans, I usually made simple chocolate mug cake at home.
I felt so guilty when I ate a whole slice during my second trimester, thought I was harming the baby. But looking at my healthy baby now, I realize I was overthinking so much!
I totally get why u are asking, I used to google literally every single ingredient in my first trimester. Don't stress too much, standard store cake is fine but just check if they use any alcohol syrup in it.
It is totally safe to eat a slice, dear. I actually had sweet cravings even after my C-section, and post-delivery recovery needs so much energy anyway. Just enjoy it but don't overdo the sugar.
My mother told me to avoid bakery items because of white sugar and preservatives. But my gynac said a small piece from a clean place is totally fine once in a while. Just make sure the cake is fresh, dear.
Eat mindfully and keep your thoughts happy, dear. God has made our bodies very strong to protect the child. If u eat a slice with a happy heart, it will only do good, just keep everything in limit.
Oh I love black forest! Honestly, I had a slice last week and was wondering if the tiny bit of rum/cherry syrup in bakery cakes is okay? Let me know if u find out, cravings are real yaar.
