My kit showed positive twice but when i went for an early scan they said nothing clear is visible yet. Now im so confused and a little worried, dont know what to think. Gynac said come back after 10 days but has this happened to anyone else?
Oh yes, if you go too early, the baby is basically the size of a tiny seed playing hide and seek! The scanner can't find anything if it is just 4 or 5 weeks, so don't worry, they are just being shy.
In my case, my first scan at 5 weeks didn't show much because my ovulation was delayed. I had to wait for two agonizing weeks, and then finally in the 7th week, we saw the baby clearly. That was just my experience.
My brain is barely functioning with 2 hours of sleep, but I remember this! If you got your dates a bit mixed up, the scan might not show the baby yet because it's too early. Go back in a week or two and you'll probably see the little heartbeat.
While it's often just too early, sometimes it can also indicate an ectopic pregnancy or other complications. Please make sure you stay in touch with your doctor and get a repeat scan or beta hCG blood test as they advise.
I completely feel your anxiety, it's so scary when you expect to see something on the screen and they say they can't. If it is too early, like before 6-7 weeks, it's very common for the scan not to show anything yet. Take a deep breath.
Haan na, if you go too early, it's very difficult for the scan to detect anything. Usually, it's visible clearly only after 6 or 7 weeks, ho na. Just wait for a few days and try again.
I went for my scan at 5 weeks and they couldn't see anything except a tiny sac, which made me so worried. Did they ask you to come back after two weeks? My next scan showed a healthy heartbeat.
It is definitely possible if the pregnancy is in its very early stages. However, please consult your gynac to rule out any other issues. They will guide you on when to repeat the scan safely.
It's simple math—if you scan before 6 weeks, there is very little to see. Don't panic, just wait for a week and get a transvaginal scan (TVS) done as it is much more accurate in the early days.
Haha, in my first scan, they only saw one sac, and two weeks later, surprise, there were two! Early scans can easily miss things or not show them if the dates are slightly off. Just give it some time.
I literally spent three days crying when my first scan didn't detect the heartbeat at 5 weeks, thinking the worst. It turned out my dates were just off by a week! Please don't stress yourself out, it happens to so many of us.
