I have a flight coming up next month and i'll be around 5 months by then. My mom is worried and keeps telling me to cancel. Is air travel actually fine at this stage? would love to hear from anyone who flew while pregnant.
Generally fine for low-risk pregnancies, especially 2nd trimester. Each airline has its own cut off week and may ask for a doctor's note in the last weeks. Confirm with your gynac plus check the airline policy before booking.
Depends on your pregnancy really. With my history the doctor told me to avoid long flights. So please dont just go by general advice, ask your own gynac since they know if there's any risk for you.
I traveled by plane to my mayka in the middle months and nothing happened, very normal. Just carry your medicines and papers and dont sit in one place too long. Ask your doctor once and go happily.
I flew for work in my 5th month, totally fine. Just book an aisle seat for easy bathroom trips and walk a bit during the flight. Get a quick okay from your gynac before booking, takes two minutes.
Mostly yes in a normal pregnancy, the second trimester is usually the easiest time to fly. Keep moving your legs, stay hydrated and carry your reports. After 36 weeks airlines often need a fit-to-fly letter, so check that.
