What to do to avoid constipation during pregnancy?
Ever since the iron tablets started, my stomach is just not clearing properly and its so uncomfortable. Im in my second trimester. What worked for u all, any food or small habits that helped?
Sitting all day at work made mine worse. I started keeping a big water bottle on my desk, adding fruit as snacks and taking short walking breaks. Simple changes but they really helped keep things moving.
Constipation troubled me a lot in pregnancy yaar. Lots of water, fiber like fruits, oats, leafy veg and a little walk after meals really helped. The iron tablets often make it worse, so mention it to ur gynac if it's bad.
Between nausea and constipation early pregnancy was rough for me. What helped was small frequent meals with fruits, lots of water and prunes. If your iron pills are the culprit, your doctor can adjust them.
My amma told me to eat more fibre, ragi, fruits and drink warm water in the morning, and it genuinely helped ma. A short walk after dinner also. Stay hydrated, that's the main thing.
Soaked raisins or a few soaked figs in the morning worked nicely for me, also warm water on empty stomach. Just keep fiber and water high. If it stays really stuck for days though, do tell ur doctor, dont take any laxative on your own.
