When do i start using stretch mark cream during pregnancy?
Im 10 weeks and pet abhi bahut chota hai but i dont wanna get those marks later. Should i start applying the cream from now itself ya wait till the bump grows? when did u start using urs?
Personally, I started applying extra virgin coconut oil from the second trimester. It really kept my skin soft and itch-free throughout the pregnancy and breastfeeding phase.
Honestly, those expensive creams are not even necessary. I just used simple coconut oil right from my 4th month after bathing and it worked perfectly fine for me.
My doctor told me that creams can't completely prevent stretch marks because they depend on skin elasticity and genetics. But she advised starting any good moisturizer from the 12th week to keep the skin barrier healthy and stop itching.
I started using cocoa butter around my 4th month. Now that my baby is a toddler, I realize those marks are just beautiful reminders of the journey, so don't stress too much about them.
It's good to start from the 3rd or 4th month to keep the skin hydrated. Just make sure the cream you choose has safe, natural ingredients, just like keeping your diet clean.
I am planning my pregnancy now and was just researching about this! Most of my friends suggested starting from the second trimester before the belly actually starts showing.
I felt so conscious about my changing body, so I started applying a basic moisturizer from the 12th week itself. It really helped with the dryness and itching as my bump started growing.
With twins, my belly expanded like a balloon, so I started using creams early in the first trimester! Honestly, stretch marks are mostly genetic, but the cream definitely helps with the crazy itching.
