my gynac started me on a low dose one earlier and i forgot to ask till when i have to continue. im 30 weeks now. did any of you stop it at some point, around which week?
This is something only ur doctor should tell u because aspirin is usually given for a specific reason like preeclampsia risk. Stopping at the wrong time can matter. I had complications and mine adjusted my dose herself, so please just confirm the week with ur own gynac.
Since I was on regular meds during pregnancy I learnt to never start or stop anything without asking. For aspirin specially, the stopping week is set by ur doctor close to delivery. Keep ur follow ups and she'll guide u when to stop.
I was on low dose aspirin for BP risk and my gynac told me to stop around 36 weeks before delivery, but the exact week she decided based on my reports. Pls dont stop on ur own or based on a general timeline, the stopping time really depends on why u were put on it.
Please dont decide this from online. Aspirin timing in pregnancy is doctor's call, usually a few weeks before due date but it varies. One quick message to ur gynac will give u the right answer for ur case.
