I go gym regularly and lift weights also. Now we are trying to conceive and my saas keeps telling me heavy workout is not good for it. Is there any truth in this or just a myth?
Haha absolutely not, unless you are lifting trucks! I'm in my 3rd trimester now, waddling around like a penguin, but a moderate workout actually keeps you fit. Just don't overexert, and leave the heavy training for later!
I know there are so many doubts and fears in your mind right now, it can feel so overwhelming. Honestly, a gentle workout is actually good for your body and mind while trying to conceive. Don't stress, just listen to your body and go easy on yourself.
My mother-in-law was a bit worried and told me to completely rest, but my doctor reassured me that moderate exercise actually helps. Safe, regular walking or yoga can improve your chances of conceiving. Trust your doctor's advice over old myths.
Ghar pe everybody, especially my saas, told me to stop working out when we were trying to conceive. But actually, mild workouts like walking are perfectly fine and good for hormonal balance. Just avoid very heavy or exhausting gym routines.
I can only speak from my own journey, but working out didn't stop me from conceiving. I used to do light jogs and yoga daily, and my gynac said it was completely fine as long as I wasn't exhausting myself. It actually helped me manage my stress.
